CONSAK INC. MEET UP EVENT OCTOBER 8 TH, 2011

Toronto- CONSAK INC. held its second MEET UP EVENT in this year on October 8th. The purpose of this function was to provide a platform for project managers and other like minded professionals to  net work and to participate in dilations based on variety of themes. 

This function drew a large interest among the peers from diverse industries. The program started with  initiating address by Asad Kazim, the President and Founder of CONSAK INC. (www.consak.com). 

After welcoming talk he focused on the objectives of such event, which he said, were mainly aimed at promoting networking and professional knowledge. He highlighted his company’s profile and informed that CONSAK INC. was formed more than three years ago to provide consultancy and training in the areas of Project Management, Six Sigma, Lean, ITIL etc. There are seven different training courses being offered now  by CONSAK INC. that help clients to update their management skills and acquire hot market certifications like CAPM, PMP, SIX SIGMA GREEN AND BLACK BELT, LEAN MANAGEMENT, ITIL v3 FOUNDATION, etc.  

He informed the participants, during his presentation, that so far the overall pass rate of CONSAK INC. students stands at an amazing 98% which has been possible only with hard work and diligence of both teacher and the taught. “All efforts would be continued by our company to keep up our high standard of of deliverables and improve on these successful results”, he remarked. 

Asad who himself has the PMP, Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, Lean Management and ITIL v3 certifications, told the participants that major milestone of CONSAK INC.’s journey has been to attain the PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) status which is granted by PMI (Project Management Institute) to organizations who qualify PMI’s stringent international audit and global quality standards for Project Management training. He informed the audience that PMI though is US based but has its chapters in around 185 countries of the world and CONSAK INC. is proud to be affiliated with such a global organization.

The event also had Exercise Ice Breaker in which all participants introduced themselves to the crowd which was then followed by Speakers’ Forum session. In  this session presentations were given on interesting professional topics like ’ CMM And Six Sigma Application’, ‘Resume Writing Tips’ and ‘Personal Branding’. The event was rounded up with a delicious dinner and raffle draws thus adding fun to this memorable function. The feedback of participants was that indeed this was a useful and interesting occasion that enabled them to be introduced to more people from diverse industries thus expanding their network as well providing them an opportunity to update their knowledge by listening to a variety of SMEs. Based on positive response of attendees, CONSAK INC. plans to hold such gatherings in future too for generating  even greater participation.

The ITIL 2011 Refresh As a Continuous Improvement of ITIL v3, released July 29, 2011.

Subsequent to the release of ITIL v3 in 2007, the ITIL Refresh has incorporated over 500 changes that have been identified and contains an updated course syllabi and examinations and also reflects feedback from the user and training community. The ITIL Refresh is aimed to achieve clarity of concepts, make the framework easier to understand,create consistency and correct errors across the core publications. New examinations covering the new material for ITIL 2011 Refresh will be released in January 2011 and new examinations released on August 8, 2011, based on ITIL refresh, would be used with the current ITIL (v3 2007).Your current ITIL certifications are not invalidated by the ITIL 2011 Refresh.Thus no bridge course is required to understand the content differences, earn a new certification,or start your ITIL initiative over again. The examination scheme remains the same and if you are halfway through your Expert program you can continue the same path you have planned.This is a refresh, not a version change. Despite nuances in how things are described,the core message of ITIL remains the same and for companies who have adopted ITIL v.3 2007 (the current ITIL on the market), it is assured that the fundamentals of the framework have not changed. In light of ITIL 2011 Refresh Our efforts will continue to deliver the high-quality and updated courseware. New content will begin entering the market in September and ITIL V3 Foundation courseware will be updated and aligned with ITIL 2011 Refresh- by the time the exams switch over on January 1, 2012.

 After 30 August,2011 The PMP® Exam Result Will Be Announced with a Gap Of 4-6 Weeks

PMI has recently informed that to validate its new structure of PMP® exam its results would not be known to candidates just after the taking of the exam. What it means is that after completing the PMP® test the candidates will not learn, right at the Prometric testing center, if they passed or failed but rather be provided their result by e-mail from PMI after 4-6 weeks from the date of taking their test. However,this result announcement delay for PMP® Exam after 30 August,2011 will be removed by mid october 2011 when the PMP® Exam result announcement system will become immediate- like as the current one. Thus this would be applicable for those planning to take the PMP® test between 31 Aug and mid October.

FIRST CONSAK MEETUP HELD ON 19 FEB, 2011

Based on keen interest and suggestion of Clients and staff of CONSAK Inc. the first CONSAK meet up was held on 19 Feb at Paramount Restaurant in Toronto. The event aimed to provide the participants a great opportunity of networking and a common platform for peers to exchange notes on professional matters based on 'eat and learn' modality. There was mingling among friends and some professional talks were held on subjects like Balanced Score card, setting up of PMO, PMI updates and CONSAK milestones etc  An experienced head hunter was also amongst  the attendees and interacted specially with those seeking positions or change of job. There was a Raffle draw with number of prizes on offer. The evening was wrapped up with group photos. CONSAK PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY EVENTS

CONSAK INC. show cased its offerings with its booth at the Hilton Suites Markham,Canada during the conventIon organized there by Universal Muslims Association of America. The event was held from 27th to 29th May. There were many visitors who showed interest in the CONSAK training programs specially for PMP and CAPM courses. Also CONSAK, in collaboration with All Nations Full Gospel Church (ANFGC), has arranged a special PMP/CAPM Training for its members starting in June,2011.  This is part of our efforts to continue promoting knowledge of management skills with an aim to positively contribute towards success of various communities which is truly in consonance with our motto of "Continuity to Success And Knowledge". PMP EXAM CONTENTS TO CHANGE NEXT YEAR

PMI has announced that wef 31 August, 2011 there will be change in the PMP® exam due to introduction of PMI®‘s RDS (Role Delineation Study) questions. The implication of this will be a change in the contents of the PMP® exam by 30%. In new PMP® Exam, certain areas will be tested in a different way specifically the professional responsibility content area (Domain 6) which would be tested in every domain rather than as a separate domain. It is therefore recommended that those interested in the PMP® credential should try to pass the exam before the change becomes effective with its new challenges.
